Information on Waivers

Waivers, allowing athletes to advance from one qualifying meet to the next without competing, can be granted to athletes based on extenuating circumstances. We typically see waiver requests for meets that conflict with the SAT/ACT exam, for athletes with appropriate medical documentation citing an injury, or Meet of Champions Cross Country competitors.
  • All waivers must be submitted to the Youth Committee for review and approval.
  • If approved, athletes are still required to register ( for their events and pay for entries in the meet for which they are requesting a waiver.
  • If athletes are not registered online in and meet fees paid, they cannot be advanced to the next meet in the Junior Olympic series.
