Georgia's Jordan Crawford wins first USATF National Title

2019 USATF U20 Championships at Ansin Sports Complex, Miramar, FL

10000m Race Walk

Defending champion and 2018 USATF Youth Athlete of the Year Taylor Ewert immediately asserted dominance over the women’s 10,000m race walk field early Sunday morning, which included Grace Endy and Chloe Engin. Ewert eventually lapped the competition en route to breaking her own meet record and earning her third consecutive USATF U20 race walk title in 48:24.61.

On the men’s side, drama ensued in the race’s latter half. 2018 title holder Giovanni Cisneros looked poised to repeat early on until he received a one minute penalty after three loss of contacts. That halt catapulted Jordan Crawford to take the lead. Following a fourth penalty, Cisneros was disqualified and Crawford earned his first USATF national title in 53:40.03.
