Information on Waivers

Waivers allowing athletes to advance through the Junior Olympic qualifying process are granted under extreme circumstances and are issued at the discretion of the Youth Executive Committee. Waivers may be considered for the following:
  • SAT/ACT Testing
  • Death of immediate family member, or
  • A valid academic obligation
  • New Balance Invitational (Emerging Elite/Championship divisions only)
Injuries or medical excuses are not eligible for waiver consideration.

All waivers require supporting documentation and must be submitted to the Youth Executive Committee prior to the meet entry deadline using THIS FORM.
  • If waiver is approved, athletes are still required to register (athletic.net) for their events and pay for entries in the meet for which they are requesting a waiver.
  • If athletes are not registered online in Athletic.net and meet fees are not paid, athletes cannot be advanced to the next round in the Junior Olympic series.
