Three USATF Georgia youth athletes recognized for outstanding 2018 outdoor track accomplishments

On Saturday, February 23, 2019, the Dr. John W. Carlos Foundation held an event celebrating the 50th Anniversary of the 1968 Olympic Games (video).

Three USATF Georgia youth athletes were recognized for their outstanding accomplishments at the 2018 USATF Hershey National Junior Olympic Track & Field Championships in Greensboro, North Carolina.

Aiden Opore, Adejah Hodge, and Emoni Coleman were presented with awards and shared highlights from their amazing 2018 track and field performances. In addition, Emoni Coleman was awarded a $1,000.00 scholarship and will continue her education and track and field journey in the fall of 2019 at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette.

  • 200m National Champion and National Record Holder
Adejah Hodge (Legacy Athletics) – 11-12 Girls division
  • 200m National Champion and Record Holder
  • 400m National Runner-Up
Emoni Coleman (Need 4 Speed Track Club) – 17-18 Women division
  • 800m National Champion
  • 1500m National Runner-Up
