The Officials Committee of USATF Georgia Association will be holding an Officials Certification Clinic for all interested parties: Coaches, athletes, parents, family members or any friends of track & field on Sunday afternoon, March 22, 2020, at Tift County High School from 1:30PM to approximately 4:30PM. The address is 1 Blue Devil Way, Tifton, GA 31794. The clinic will be held in Room #302, and parking is available at the building. There will be directional signs posted outside the facility and in the hallway inside. Download information flyer [link] for facilty map. Requirements to become an official:
Must be 18 years or older
Must be USATF member
Must take on-line SafeSport training course (free to USATF members)
Must pass background screening ($16 and renewed every two years)
Officials are required to be a current member of USATF.
Please bring your member number to the clinic.
A USATF Membership is not required to attend the clinic, but your certification cannot be completed without a valid USATF Membership number.

All officials are required by USATF to take a free SafeSport training session [link], and pass a Background Screening [link]. Attendees at the clinic,
Will need to fill out both a Georgia Association and a National USATF official’s application form,
Will need to take and pass an open-book, Track and Field ‘Rules Review’ based on the 2016 USATF rulebook (which will be provided at the clinic),
Have their picture taken for their official's badge.
All attendees will be provided with a current USA Track and Field rule book, a Georgia Association official’s polo shirt, and a USATF Official’s ID Badge holder & clip at the clinic. The official’s badge will be mailed to you after they have been produced. The cost for a first time official’s certification is $50.00 ($30.00 for recertifying officials), and can be paid by check (made out to USATF Georgia Association), or cash at the clinic (no credit cards).
