    Youth Updates 2021 & 2022 Competition Schedule

On April 13 USATF released the competition schedule for our youth athletes. Super exciting as this year the 2021 National Youth Outdoor Championships will be hosted in our state in Rome on June 23-26, 2021!

I don’t know about you, but I’m EXCITED to have another national competition right here in Georgia. There are some key modifications that are with this meet (such as no combined events for example) so make sure to look at the details. Friendly reminder that your athlete will need age verification with their USATF membership and since the national office completes the verification DO NOT wait until the last minute to submit the appropriate documents in USATF Connect.

Registration is now available on Athletic.net.

If you are interested in volunteering to officiate for any of the meets please send an email to Cindy Slayton at officials@georgia.usatf.org. If you are interested in volunteering outside of officiating or have any questions please email coachesadvisory@georgia.usatf.org and we will forward it to the appropriate Volunteer Coordinator.

    Coaches Roundtable

The first coaches roundtable was scheduled in April, but the guest speaker cancelled due to family reasons. Therefore we are in the planning stages for the next one to hopefully be at the end of May so stay tuned for communication around this free event. If you have any topics for the roundtable please feel free to email coachesadvisory@georgia.usatf.org.

    USATF SafeSport Update

There have been several updates to the USATF SafeSport Program as it continues to provide a fun and healthy environment for both participants and athletes. As a member of USATF you should have received an email late April detailing the updates. If you did not then you can read the details in the SafeSport Handbook.
